Parliament Hill at Night 01

Posted by
Daniel Picard (Ottawa, Canada) on 12 May 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Went to take a few night photos of our Parliament Buildings here in Ottawa on Monday night just for fun. I have a few shots around the 8:30pm like this one that I'll show this week.

I went there with the intention of getting long tripod exposure photos, but I soon realized that it wasn't going to happen when I saw the lighting guys setting up their equipment and doing tests for this long weekend's festivities. Oh well, I'll go back later this month to get them.

My blog is submitted into the '09 Photoblog Awards - if you enjoy my photos, please click this link to vote - thanks!

Great colors, is this HDR? It's just like I was there.

No, I don't do HDR processing - this is a mix of leftover sunset, the orange night spotlights on the building and using a crazy-high 4000 ISO on the camera.
