Tree at Night

Posted by
Daniel Picard (Ottawa, Canada) on 11 January 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Taken at night and with a long 8 second exposure (just to see what would happen). I really didn't like the end result in colour, but converting it to black & white made the shot pretty graphic and interesting. And also, the crooked white area at the bottom is part of the outdoor hockey arena I was standing in.

I agree, this is a nice B/W of this tree. Did you use a flash, or is it the 8 sec. exp that brought the light on the tree...?
Nice idea.

Nope, no flash on this one - this was taken at a hockey arena and for some reason one of the spotlights was aimed right at this tree.

Wow, looks almost like the ghost of a tree :-) Very interesting!
